St. James Parish School is a private elementary school where faith and education come together providing an excellent education for children in preschool through sixth grade. We are located within 30 miles of Fort Drum and are proud to serve our soldiers and their families. Joined together in a community of faith, St. James challenges students academically, while encouraging them to embrace the values that Jesus taught: faith in God, prayer and service, love and respect for self and others, compassion, responsibility, integrity, peace and justice. At St. James School, it is our misson to educate the whole child, mind, body, and soul.
Enrollment is ongoing and open to all.
Mission Statement:
The mission of St. James Parish School is to provide a quality Catholic education for students to grow spiritually, academically, socially, and physically, in partnership with families and in harmony with the specific gifts given by God to each student. We welcome your comments and questions.

The Gabriel Project® is a confidential and compassionate outreach to women who are distressed over an unplanned pregnancy. We rely on local parish communities to respond in a loving manner to the needs of the mother-to-be, witnessing to the infinite and healing love of God. A trained "Gabriel Angel" from a participating church supports the woman's choice for life through friendship, encouragement, and prayer throughout her pregnancy. In addition to providing emotional and spiritual support, the "Gabriel Angel" helps the expectant mom with various practical needs.
St. James Church is privileged to offer this ministry to our community. If you are a new or expectant mother in need, reach out to our parish office at (315) 287-0114, or by email at sjcshc@twc.com, with your contact information and one of our "angels" will get in touch with you.
St. James Outreach Center, located directly next door to the Church on Main St., is a two story thrift shop that offers gently used family clothing, toys and small household goods for minimal cost.
The store is open Tue.-Sat., 10AM-2PM, and is staffed entirely by volunteers. Please note that we are closed for national holidays, "black Friday" and any time schools are closed due to weather conditions.
Donations of clean, dry, gently used clothing, toys and small household goods (no furniture or appliances), can be brought to the store during normal business hours. Our staff reserve the right to refuse donations that may not meet these requirements. PLEASE, DO NOT leave items outside on the ground or porch of the Thrift Store.
PERSONS/FAMILIES IN NEED, due to financial reasons, loss from fire, etc., should come to the Parish Office and speak with our staff. St. James is committed to meeting those needs, as best we can, without cost.
